About the College

The College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal was started in the year 2009 to provide higher education in Nursing Profession of North Eastern States of India including Sikkim. It is under the Administrative control of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal which is an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. The college is affiliated to Manipur University, Canchipur, Imphal and recognized by Nursing Council of India, New Delhi in 2009. The foundation stone of the College of Nursing, RIMS, Imphal was laid by the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India Shri Anbumani Ramadoss, in the year 2008.

The College of Nursing, RIMS vision is to develop young minds for achievement of academic excellence in quality nursing education, competence and also to develop leaders in nursing and health care whose actions, discoveries and voices would strengthen and transform the health of individuals and the community.
